Offer for consultations for students/artists:
I am offering consultations to students/artists as part of my work for this Annual Exhibition.
Any topics are welcome. The idea is to provide time slots for students to get advice. Examples: From health insurance issues, abuse of power and the experience of being a foreign student in Germany. I have experience in a corporate job, with a legal background, so am familiar with bureaucracy. EN, DE, IT, FR and NL available. In exchange, I would like to kindly ask you to donate a work at your discretion.
Overall, the work will be an attempt to reverse the power dynamics at play in the art market, specifically the dependency, arbitrariness and sometimes outright blasé attitude of those who wield the formal and informal decision-making power to further an artists career, decide on their livelihood, and whether their art is worth buying. Stepping away from the reality of inebriated empty promises at vernissages and an overall glorification of a poor but transcendently creative life as an artist, I would like to offer the artists of this institution the opportunity to -for once- be the ones to whim, be the ones to be served, to request and demand.
Consultations can be booked
- on 22-26, 29.07 from 11:00-14:00
- for time slots of 6, 12 or 18 minutes (corporate style)
